Top tips to make the most out of your bath time

We all need some time to ourselves at the moment. The stresses of being at home, with family, on regular work calls or the constant news updates, you might be hard to find a quiet place to escape to. Why not try something as simple as a bath?

In times of stress or anxiety, sometimes a spa retreat to your bathroom can be the best remedy. We have come up with some top tips to help you relax and unwind in your own space.

Atmosphere

The lighting of a scented candle will help soothe your mind into a state of relaxation. Our Bramley Home Candle is delicately fragranced with rose absolute, spearmint & peppermint essential oils, all specifically chosen to help relieve stress and clear the mind. We also have mini travel-sized candles that can be placed around your bath to create the perfect spa atmosphere.

Bubbles

Bubble baths are an easy way to let your body heal. Hot water along with the geranium, lavender and sweet orange essential oils in our Bramley Bubble Bath allow your muscles to relax. It will also help stimulate blood to help relieve any tensions you may have. But most of all, who doesn't love a few bubbles in the bath?!

Bath Salts

We highly recommend putting a handful of bath salts in your bath.
Bath salts have a bit of an old lady feel about them, but we cannot tell you how far from that image they are! Salt is so good for your body because it is rich in potassium. If you suffer from muscle pain, stiffness, circulation problems or even headaches, bath salts have been known to help relieve these issues.
Our Bramley Bath Salts are fresh, minty and just beautiful. Dissolve them in your bath and let the lavender flowers release their therapeutic sleep qualities immediately.
Alternatively, mix with one of our oils to create a homemade body scrub that will leave your skin soft and silky and full of beautiful essential oils!

 Avoid Netflix and screen time

The temptation to catch up on your favourite Netflix shows or scroll through social while bathing can be great, but try and resist! Especially before bed. Its common knowledge that the blue light that emits from the screen combined with the stimulation from information in the emails and posts that you read can cause your mind to race and lead to a night of restless and unfulfilled sleep or relaxation. Remove the temptation and delve into a good book instead. Let your mind escape to a different world for a while...
