our sustainable ethos

Nature has always been at the forefront of our minds, given the wonderful botanicals that are key to all of our products.

Our sustainable ethos runs throughout everything that we do and we aim to leave as little impact on the natural world as we possibly can.

RECYCLABLE PACKAGING

All of our packaging has been carefully considered to ensure that it not only looks beautiful but is 100% recyclable. For larger containers, we offer a scheme where we work with a local company to recycle them into garden furniture and other items.

We offer glass or aluminium packaging where we can, and where plastic is used, it is biopolymer - meaning sugarcane is used in the manufacturing process rather than fossil fuels. By the end of the year we intend to be using 50% post-consumer recycled plastic.

refillable options

We are proud to have pioneered the introduction of refillable products into the hospitality industry many years ago, which led the way for many of our customers to do the same. We offer refill options across nearly all of our home, skin and body care products, including our innovative biodegradable refill pouches. This initiative has saved 28 tonnes of plastic to date.

natural formulations

We don’t put anything in our products that mother nature wouldn’t approve of. Our products are vegan, cruelty free and we never use harmful ingredients such as synthetic colours, fragrances, parabens, petrochemicals, silicones or sulphates.

From our pure essential oils to our science-led complexes, all of the ingredients in our formulations are naturally derived, biodegradable and marine-life friendly, so are safe to be washed into rivers and oceans.

Environmental improvements

We’ve constantly looking to reduce our environmental impact. We’ve switched to renewable energy, installed low-flow taps and energy-efficient lighting, and use natural light wherever possible. Our cleaning products are refillable, our loo roll is recycled, and we harvest rainwater for plants and pups. We recycle all waste and follow a digital-first policy to cut down on printing. Our team uses the Ecosia browser to help plant trees and books travel through Train Hugger, which plants a UK tree for every ticket purchased.

OUR CHARITY PARTNER

We are long-standing supporters of Plantlife, a charity that works to protect and restore wild plants and flowers and connect people to nature. Protecting a variety of plant species leads to a world full of colour and beauty, while crucially, allowing the plants and the animals which depend on them to thrive.

We donate 1% of the sale of every full-size Bath, Body and Home product to Plantlife’s important work. We're proud to have donated over £15,000 so far.

Trusted suppliers

We have worked with the majority of our suppliers for over 10 years. We try to use local suppliers where possible - in 2023, 55% of our purchases were made with suppliers based within 50 miles of Bramley HQ (45% within 30 miles). Our aim is to increase this to 75% by Summer 2025.

To ensure that our environmental ethos and goals are aligned with that of our suppliers, they are screened for their water usage, energy usage & waste usage. We try to use low energy emitting suppliers where possible.
