Escape To... Nestled Stays

Escape To... Nestled Stays

It’s surprisingly easy to forget how good it feels to slow down, until you arrive somewhere that quietly reminds you.

Nestled Stays is one of those places. Tucked into nature-led surroundings, it feels quietly removed from the usual pace of life, where time loosens its grip a little and the days begin to arrange themselves around simpler things. A sauna after a walk, coffee outside without checking the time, the feeling that nothing is being rushed.

Everything here has been considered, but never overcomplicated. There is a softness to it, a sense that wellbeing is not something added on, but something that naturally unfolds when the setting is right.

In this month’s Escape to… we spoke with Jack, behind Nestled, to find out how it all comes together, from their commitment to quality to the way they think about wellbeing, nature and time away from everyday life.

Nestled is all about creating space to slow down and reconnect. What first inspired the idea that people needed this kind of escape more than ever?

Nestled was shaped by my upbringing in the West Sussex countryside on our family working farm, surrounded by nature and animals. Growing up, there was a natural sense of calm and connection to the environment that you don’t always realise the value of until it’s gone.

As life has become busier and more connected, we saw a growing need for spaces where people can properly switch off. Nestled was created to offer that feeling again, where being immersed in nature, combined with thoughtful design and a slower pace, allows guests to reconnect, reset, and feel present without even trying.

Each of your locations feel beautifully rooted in their surroundings. How do you approach designing or shaping a stay that feels both luxurious and connected to nature?

For us, luxury isn’t about excess, it’s about how a space makes you feel. Every site is designed to sit quietly within its surroundings, using natural materials, soft tones, and layouts that maximise privacy and views. We keep things low-density so each lodge feels like its own retreat, while still offering those elevated touches that make a stay feel special.

We often talk about the power of simple rituals at Bramley, things that help people pause and reset. What does a perfect slow morning look like at Nestled for you?

A slow morning starts with no alarms. Coffee on the decking, wrapped in a blanket, watching the landscape wake up. Maybe a dip in the hot tub or a sauna session, followed by a simple breakfast outdoors. It’s about giving yourself time to ease into the day rather than rush into it.

For guests spending time with you, what experiences or moments tend to become most memorable during their stay?

It’s often the unexpected, simple moments – watching a film under the outdoor cinema, sitting by the fire as the sun sets, or just enjoying the quiet surrounded by farm animals.

We’ve found it’s less about big activities and more about giving people the space to reconnect with each other and their surroundings.

From saunas to slow mornings and time outdoors, how do you encourage guests to properly switch off and focus on wellbeing during their stay?

We design the experience so that wellbeing is built in rather than something extra. From outdoor baths and saunas to peaceful surroundings and minimal distractions, everything encourages guests to slow down.

Even small touches – like local products, soft lighting, and quiet hours – all contribute to that sense of calm.

Before we let you go, what's next for Nestled? Any exciting plans in the work that guests might want to look out for?

We’re continuing to expand carefully, with a focus on unique, characterful locations across the UK. Each new site will have its own identity but stay true to the same core principles – design-led, nature-connected, and low impact.

There are some exciting new locations in the pipeline that we’re looking forward to sharing soon!

A thoughtful retreat where nature, comfort and calm come together effortlessly, encouraging guests to settle into slower rhythms and simpler pleasures. Whether it’s a morning spent wrapped in a blanket with coffee in hand, an evening beside the fire, or simply the feeling of being surrounded by nature, Nestled offers the kind of escape that stays with you long after you leave.
