The Power of Pulse Points

The Power of Pulse Points

April is Stress Awareness Month, the perfect prompt to slow down and embrace small rituals that bring a touch of calm to your every day.

Stress looks different for everyone. Whatever form it takes, we believe in gentle, natural ways to restore a sense of balance, and incorporating aromatherapy can be one way to achieve this. Many essential oils, like lavender, chamomile, and clary sage, are known for their calming and relaxing properties, which can help reduce stress and anxiety.

Aromatherapy can be enjoyed in many ways - through inhalation via room sprays or diffusers, by adding a few drops to a soothing bath, or by applying it topically through massage or directly to pulse points.

Pulse points are areas on your body where the blood vessels sit closer to the surface of the skin, such as your wrists, temples, neck, and behind the ears. You can feel your heartbeat more strongly in these spots, hence the name "pulse" points. Because these areas are naturally warmer, they help to diffuse and release scent when you apply essential oils. This allows you to breathe in the aroma more deeply and consistently, creating a subtle aromatherapeutic effect that helps to settle the nervous system. Even just the act of touching your pulse points to apply oils is a moment to pause and can be a small but powerful act of self-care, that brings a sense of grounding even during the busiest moments.

Our Calm Balm is the perfect companion for bringing a blend of essential oils to pulse points. It blends rosehip oil, and the calming powers of camomile and yarrow essential oils to deliver comfort in times of need. But what makes it especially powerful is how, and where you apply it.

Simply rub a small amount of Calm Balm onto your chosen pulse points, then pause and take a few slow, mindful breaths. Whether you’re settling down for bed, feeling overwhelmed at your desk, or just need a moment of calm on the move, this pocket sized pick-me-up can make a world of difference.

It also doubles as a nourishing salve for dry patches, giving your skin a boost of moisture, with the same comforting fragrance woven through.

For a limited time this Stress Awareness Month, when you place an order over £30, you’ll receive a free Calm Balm to help bring a little extra peace to your day. This offer ends 21st April 2025, and we’d hate for you to miss out… (Terms and conditions apply).
