We’re thrilled Bramley’s Botanical Magic is sprinkled across Godwick. What makes you the ultimate retreat?

Godwick is a luxury countryside escape. We are located in the heart of North Norfolk and offer a collection of luxury, 5-star accommodations – from a grand Georgian hall to laid-back shepherd huts – providing a truly magical retreat. Whether it’s a creative gathering, a family holiday, a romantic escape or a wellness weekend, Godwick has space to switch off, spread out, and soak in the stillness. The pace is slower here, and with Bramley’s botanical scents in every space, guests are immediately welcomed into a calm atmosphere.

Where would you have us stay if we escaped to you, and why is it so special?

Each of our spaces offers something special. If you’re gathering a group, Godwick Hall sleeps 14 across seven elegant bedrooms and has all the elements for a luxurious stay – roll-top baths, a wood-fired sauna, swimming pool (heated June - September), countryside views, a games room and space to dine, laugh and unwind together. The Old Stables is a beautifully converted barn that sleeps 6, designed with Scandi-inspired interiors and a soft, serene palette – ideal for slow living or reconnecting with close friends and family. In summer, our alfresco dining space here becomes a floral haven, surrounded by roses and lavender – the perfect setting for celebrating life’s special moments under the Norfolk sky. For an off-grid cosy staycation, our three handcrafted Shepherd Huts offer a romantic hideaway. With open skies, they’re a dreamy way to immerse oneself in nature. In summer, our boutique bell tents create an idyllic setting for families or couples – canvas under the stars, nature at your feet, and all the Godwick charm around you.

How do your guests find their own moment of calm when they visit?

Calm comes naturally at Godwick. Whether it’s a barefoot walk through the fields, a moment of stillness in a hot tub under the stars, or a long soak in the bath with Bramley essentials, guests find joy in the simplest moments.

What drew you to having Bramley, how do you feel our brands align?

We care deeply about how guests feel when they stay with us – it’s about comfort, connection, and considered details. Bramley reflects all of this, with a shared love of nature, wellbeing and British craft. Their gentle formulations, beautiful scent and eco-conscious values make them the perfect complement to our Godwick experience. Which Bramley products are you loving at the moment / are favourites with your guests?

Guests always comment on the Hand Wash – the scent instantly uplifts and makes a beautiful first impression. The Bubble Bath is loved in both The Hall, especially after long days spent exploring the Norfolk coast. The nourishing Shampoo and Conditioner are also guest favourites, leaving hair feeling refreshed, soft, and subtly scented – the perfect finishing touch to a relaxing stay.

We talk about the power of plants and essential oils, tell us about your local flavour: food, scents, or experiences guests shouldn’t miss.

North Norfolk is rich in wild beauty. Our guests love the fresh country air, the salty nearby coastlines, the scent of summer lavender around Godwick Hall, The Old Stables and The Great Barn and the earthy notes of autumn leaves underfoot. Food-wise, there’s plenty to indulge in: fresh crab from Cromer, artisan bread and cheese from nearby farm shops, and outstanding local pubs and restaurants such as The Brisley Bell and Socius. From walks through The Lost Village of Godwick to beach days, to creative workshops at Godwick, the connection to nature is at the heart of every experience.

Is there a hidden gem, ritual or little luxury you’d recommend for the perfect escape?

Our Stargazer Package is always a winner – think blankets, fizz, firewood and marshmallows, ready for an evening around the firepit and under the beautiful Norfolk skies. But the real luxury is in the rhythm of life here: long mornings, slow evenings, and plenty of space to settle in. Whether you’re sharing stories by the fire, spotting sheep from the breakfast table or simply lying back and listening to the quiet, Godwick offers a sense of calm that stays with you long after you leave.
