A Bramley Road Trip
Beep beep! This summer, we’re taking you on a scenic spin, a Bramley road trip across the UK to discover some of our favourite paces to stay, shop, eat, and unwind. We’re mapping out a slow and scenic route peppered with places that share our love for nature, calm, and thoughtful living. And of course, we’ve packed a few essentials to keep you feeling fresh along the way.
Stop 1: Penzance – Artist Residence
Where: Right on the rugged Cornish coast, Penzance is a colourful harbour town brimming with character, sea breeze, and salty chips.
Why we love it: Housed in a Georgian townhouse, the Artist Residence is an effortlessly stylish boutique hotel that mixes vintage charm with seaside soul. Warm, whimsical, and full of personality, it’s very Bramley.
What to do nearby: Take the coastal path to Mousehole for postcard views and pasties, or dip your toes in the natural sea pool at Jubilee.
Stop 2: Exeter – Darts Farm
Where: Nestled in the Devonshire countryside just outside Exeter, Darts Farm is a much-loved destination for foodies and families alike.
Why we love it: More than a farm shop, it’s a celebration of seasonal produce, local makers, and conscious living. The team at Darts have championed Bramley for years, and we’re always proud to sit on their shelves.
What to do nearby: Enjoy a gentle amble along the River Clyst, or pick up picnic bits and head to Exmouth beach for a breezy lunch.
Stop 3: Newbury – The Retreat Elcot Park
Where: Tucked in the rolling West Berkshire countryside, just between Newbury and Hungerford, this country house hotel is pure escapism.
Why we love it: The Retreat blends historic elegance with modern comfort. Think antique furniture, joyful artwork, and the softest sheets imaginable. They share our passion for nature, nurturing, and beautiful details.
What to do nearby: Visit nearby Highclere Castle (aka Downton Abbey), or roam the fields of the North Wessex Downs.
Stop 4: The Pig - in the Cotswolds
Where: Deep in the honey-hued villages and green patchwork of the Cotswolds lies The Pig in the Cotswolds, one of the newest homes in the Pig family.
Why we love it: With their “25 mile menu,” kitchen gardens, and bespoke Bramley blends in their rustic-luxe rooms, The Pig is a kindred spirit, rooted in nature, grounded in quality, and quietly brilliant.
What to do nearby: Explore the beautiful village of Arlington Row in Bilbury, or wander the ancient Cirencester Amphitheatre.
Stop 5: Norfolk – Stiffkey Stores
Where: On the wild North Norfolk coast, Stiffkey (pronounced ‘Stew-key’) is a peaceful spot nestled between salt marshes and sandy paths.
Why we love it: Stiffkey Stores is an absolute gem, part café, part deli, part lifestyle shop, and all heart. You’ll find books, baked goods, coffee, and of course, Bramley on their charming wooden shelves.
What to do nearby: Ramble along the coast path to Wells-next-the-Sea or watch the seals at Blakeney Point.
Stop 6: Penrith – Tebay Services
Where: Yes, we said “services”, but trust us, Tebay is no ordinary stop-off. Sitting amongst the hills of Cumbria, it’s a soulful pitstop on the M6.
Why we love it: Family-run, fiercely local, and with a farm shop that rivals most delicatessens, Tebay celebrates everything we hold dear. Sustainability, quality, kindness… and a good sausage roll.
What to do nearby: Take a breath of fresh air on a lakeside walk around Ullswater or stretch your legs on the Howgill Fells.
Stop 7: Auchterarder – Gleneagles Hotel
Where: A grand estate nestled in the hills of Perthshire, Gleneagles is a true Scottish icon.
Why we love it: Luxury with a capital ‘L’, but still warm, welcoming and full of charm. Gleneagles is one of our proudest partnerships. Family rooms come complete with Little B to help set smaller guests up for the perfect night's sleep.
What to do nearby: Try your hand at falconry, take a wild swim in nearby Loch Earn, or simply relax with afternoon tea and views for miles.
